Chaotic good for classical music

Wave Chamber Collective Chaotic good for classical music

We are artists experimenting with new kinds of performances

Offering our music as a hearth for artists, poets, scientists, our audience

Knocking tradition off its pedestal by introducing risks, questions, instability, crowds, the unknown - healthy chaotic good

A snapshot. Raw, real - and beautiful.

As classical musicians, we are divesting from perfection and leaning into presence.

 Wave Chamber Collective FAQs

  • We actually performed our first concert as Wave Chamber Collective at Festival Napa Valley in July 2022! Since then we’ve performed almost 20 original concerts for audiences around San Francisco.

  • Wave Collective Space is owned by Jamila Keba, our founder’s best friend from high school; we exist as sister collectives.

  • Wave Chamber Collective is an organization fiscally sponsored by the Groupmuse Foundation. We don’t receive funds from them but we are able to operate under their 501c3 umbrella, and accept tax deductible donations, receive insurance for our events, and apply for grant funding. In future years Wave Chamber Collective musicians may elect to convert the organization into an independent nonprofit.

One of the missions of Wave Chamber Collective is to pay great musicians well for making art. We’re hoping to make something that has enough value to our community that musicians can have rewarding artistic experiences that also support their livelihood.
